the threads are supposed to be gold in color, but the salt turned them white . All that got cleaned off by just using wd-40 and a brush, if you coat the threads before they see salt then it'll be even easier cleaning them.

I agree, but I don't really know what all goes into the racing coilovers. I'd imagine it'd be more pieces to adjust versus 10000000 clicks on a single piece....more shit to break.

every shock has oil in it, pressured gas keeps the oil from getting air bubbles in it during the compression and rebound strokes. About the adjustability issue, on most shocks people use on the street you are only adjusting the rebound, so you can't really fine tune the whole shock, your only tuning a part of it.
