Default Altered Suspension

Just a quick question for those of you who have been 'lucky' enough to get an altered suspension ticket. Did you fight it? How much was the fine? Did your car/truck comply with the law (looks like the bumpers must be at 14-22 inches from the ground)?

I just got my CSVT back on the road, and this is one of the things I'm worried about in this area...

no i talked to a police officer and he told me that as long as the fender was RIGHT over the tire and no tire tuck then you will be fine, Because of all the high end cars are like that. and if you do get a ticket you can set your shit back to stock height and take a pic to the judge and he will most likely dismiss it.

i got the ticket about two days ago about my altered suspension....imjust gonna take pics of the wheel and fender gap while its jacked up and say its fixed....only way to do it unless you want to spend money for stock springs or coilovers....pfft. Plus i only got this ticket only because i didnt have tags when i was driving to the dmv for them....so naturally the cops wont get your for altered suspension unless they really want to be bitchs and pull you over for one.

And the 14 inches is from the front bar not the actual bumper to the ground length.....otherwise 14inches would be ridiculous.

Your car is pretty slammed though especially for springs.

i haven't been pulled over for this, i guess the only reason to get a ticket for this is if a cop pulls you over for something, they also jack this one on there.

mine is dropped about 2.5" rear and 3" in the front. front tucks, rear doesn't. if i get pulled over, i can simply fight it by raising the coilovers.

Well it didn't rub when I had my old wheels/tires on. Those springs have a decent rate, so they aren't that soft.

Besides it's not metal it's just plastic, don't waste your time. I had a friend set of steelies on there with 195/55/15's on the way to NC when we did my suspension and they rubbed BAD, but it's plastic, so it won't bother the tire.
