the cleanest 98 gst all service records from day 1
Yeah, please don't let the crankwalk talk scare you. It is very rare. Most people 'claim' to have a crankwalked motor when in actuality they blew their car up and felt like blaming Mitsubishi for their stupidity. Very clean car once again and bump for you.
Agreed, in 9 years of dealing with DSMs, working on them, tuning them, and buying and selling parts with people, I've probably dealt with hundreds of DSMs, a good third of them being 2Gs, of which, I have only witnessed 2 instances of crankwalk first hand on one that I can recall off the top of my head. And one of those was a poorly maintained car. Properly maintained the odds of it happening are 1 in 100 at absolute worst.
I had REALLY bad luck and bought an insanely cheap 2g tsi once where the owner had to replace a fresh clutch (I should have realized when he mentioned this) and said the install must have been done wrong. I pulled the oil pan to find it had walked. It is very rare and like I mentioned, most people don't know what they're talking about when they loosely throw the term 'crankwalk' around. Any motor can crankwalk.
Bump again!
