Default 2000 Protege ES, FS-ZE swap 170hp, 53k miles

My location: Fairfax, VA
Car's location: Richmond, VA (parent's house)
Contact: eeterp AT hotmail DOT com
Shipping: at buyer's expense
Price: $7500 OBO

Well, I bought this car new in 2000 (still have the window sticker) to get me to/from college. She's been my baby but, I rarely even drive her anymore (~53,750 miles) since I have a Volvo 850 T5-R for a daily and a turbo 240sx for my weekend/fun car. Though, I do miss the protege's tossability, 170hp high-revving FS-ZE, and 30mpg, it's time to move on. I just do not have room for 3 cars.

Modifications

engine
170hp FS-ZE engine w/ approximately 40,000 miles (from corksport)
AEM intake
Mazdaspeed axel-back exhaust
Brand new plugs and wires

interior
kenwood mp3 player
pioneer front and rear speakers
kartboy short shifter
razo carbon fiber style shift knob
all weather mats (car has factory floor mats too)
Viper alarm

exterior
MP3 rear bumper lip
P5 side skirts
Clear front turn signals (original signals come with the car)
Custom grill (original comes with the car)
35% tint

suspension
Eibach Pro-Kit

The bad:
I've had the misfortune of two parking lot incidences where the guilty party didn't own up to their mistake. There is dent in the gas door area which does not affect it's operation and there is a small crack in the front bumper. See pictures.

Also, I managed to have a fog light destroyed by a car kicking up a rock, which is an inexpensive fix. (bottom right)

Also, I'll throw in a full set of 17" Tenzo Shu-10 gunmetal wheels with kumho 712 tires with the car. Which look like this

Ha, I didn't know that. What is truly sad is that people don't know what this is because there isn't an 'H' badge on it. My default answer is, think 4-door version of the '99-'00 Civic Si. It has about the same whp and 15lb-ft more torque.

Sort of, only the Protege will generally outhandle the Civic Si, at least in terms of being a superior overall platform, if not stock-for-stock (as Si was a factory performance package).

This is a SWEET ride, someone needs to buy it ASAP.

Are there any other modifications to the suspension other than the springs? Do you know if the springs were progressive or specific rate? (I'm trying to get your take on ride quality.)

Is the Mazdaspeed exhaust pretty aggressive, or is it easy to live with in a daily?

I will be all over this car as soon as my Lexus sells!
