1990 240sx F/T sr20det 2800$!TONIGHT ONLY!!!
Keeping the car...
Sup guys, i got this car from a forum member a couple months ago. Due to gas prices i really cant afford to keep this car...and still goto school.
Car is a 1990 240sx with a redtop sr20det. The engine has about 90,000 miles on it, car itself has under 130,000. I am located in chesterfield VA. Now for some info on the car:
The good:
2 new tires on the rear *old ones were dryrotted*
new breaks on the rear *front ones were checked and apparently changed recently*
sr20det engine *the car needed head work to get a tap out of it, i spent a lil over 1000$ in the end to have the head worked on*
I will also include, 2 new fenders, 2 new headlights, and a new bumper *the bumper i have to replace the one on it..is NOT a pignose*
Fresh inspection until 4/09
Heater works great
The bad:
The vacum lines need to be replaced one has a crack in it near the intake side *i went out and got new 50 psi hose to replace it, but i think in the end it would be better to replace all of them...which i would do if i was keeping the car.
No A/c *if your in richmond VA, goto RPM..they can hook you up*
No Powersteering *read above*
No windshield washer fluid res.
Any of these can be replaced easy enough, but are not needed. I prefer not having powersteering...lets you feel the road better.
The qt panel needs to be pulled and rewiped. Im not sure who did the body work on it...but they just globbed bondo on it and its cracking. Either pull the dent rewipe and block it. Or pay to put a qt in.
The drivers seat also appears to be missing a bolt so it lays back...for me..its "gangsta lean" so i never fixed it.
To sum all this up...its an sr20det 1990 240sx that needs alot of tlc that a college student does not have time to handle. The car passes inspection and runs great it just needs to be in the hands of someone with more time and money than i currently have. The engine runs extremly stronge and truely is my dreamcar...ive driven a 240sx sense i could drive so to have the sr20 was a dream come true for me. Time to let someone else play with it. Here are some pictures.
Im looking for something clean, and a 5 speed. Civics Integras something to that nature. Needs to be reliable with decent miles. Agian...being a student i cant afford to fix the issues with this car...so i dont want to fix the issues with another. Not until after school...then...another sr20

And yes...i can try to figure out a place for test drives when not in school or at work. Thanks.
pic of the headlight covers and bumper, forgot to get pics of the fenders. But anyway...those are just the headlight covers, i took them off to do the body work. Both the covers are primed now.
