Ok so instead of pictures now we are just going to have links to the pictures?

 

clarification needed.

In the upload field of the signature page, it states:
"This image MUST be of your vehicle or vehicle related. Posting images that do not follow this rule WILL result in your profile being locked. You have been warned."

Am i correct to assume this pertains only to images using the 'Upload Signature Picture' feature? Or does it mean ALL images that are in your signature. Thx in advance.

edit: and as u can see in my signature lol, what am i doing wrong... or will it change over

 

No. If you use the SIGPIC tag it will display the images as normal, but you have to upload them first.

That text was meant for the profile picture. I'll fix it later.

As for your specific problem you're using the SIGPIC tag incorrectly. You need to upload the image first (either from a URL or from your computer). When you edit your signature there's a field that you can enter a URL in, use that.

Here's a more in depth example with BBCODE of what would happen if you don't replace the IMG tag.

1. Your current signature code looks like this:
   
   Code:

   [IMG]http://img208.imageshack.us/img208/1809/haruhirs5.png[/IMG]
   Line 2

2. It appears like this:
   
   Code:

   Line 1
   
   Line 2

3. After use of the IMG tag in signatures has been removed and replaced with SIGPIC; to have the same appearance as #2 upload the image:
   
4. Then use this code in your signature:
   
   Code:

   Line 1
   [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
   Line 2

5. If you don't do the above changes in #3 & #4 your signature will appear like this:
   
   Code:

   Line 1
   http://img208.imageshack.us/img208/1809/haruhirs5.png
   Line 2

If you compare #1 with #5 you can see what happened when the IMG tag was removed.

You can always upload another image for your signature, the SIGPIC tag will automatically use the new image.

 

is this to save bandwith or to more accurately track data usage and bandwith

 

Mostly, it's to enforce signature rules...we spend quite a bit of time on that.
