Why do you need an app for it. If you have a phone that can get apps you more than likely have internet. Why not just use the internet.

Because it's easier to navigate via a third party app. Tapatalk is a great example of just such an app, but the admins have said many times they aren't going to install it because they don't want to. If there was an app that could translate the tags and convert them to be viewed on a mobile device, then that would work. It wouldn't have anything to do with the forum itself, but would change the way the browser interprets the tags.

I've kicked around the idea of doing just such a thing many times, but haven't had time to do it.

not that at all..

I've already brought up a different way of making an android based app and eng has already found it to be a good idea and it wouldn't be to terribly hard.

It would be a vadriven only specific app, but i guess it would work.

Looks like we are getting a lot of feedback about this...and for the most part...its all positive....keep the comments coming, the more the better..nismo what have you came up with, if you dont mind elaborating on it..

I fail to see how this program will fix that fact that your cell has a shit screen. The mobile style works fine, albeit is very plain. Most features were intentionally stripped out from it, I'm working on adding back the part that some users (namely the mods) have asked for.

You can want it all you want. Anything that requires 3rd party stuff to make it work or is just a big list of forums (tapatalk, forum runner, etc) isn't going to be used.

If its not dedicated to just us, you might as well ignore its existence, i.e. options such as the vBulletin Mobile Suite or someone coding their own app to use the Mobile API are ones that would be used.
