Attachments showing up as links?

Attachments showing up as links?
I've noticed that lately when I view threads with attachments the attachments are just links instead of pics. Is it just me?

If there's more than one attachment then they're displayed as links, one attachment will be shown inline.
I don't recall changing this setting so I presume this is the way it's always been

Ever since Drag(or driven) was down for that half a day it has been doing that. I thought it was just a way to make the site less slugish?
