WEATHER:

Big topic right now. The last 24 HRs took a little bit of a wrong turn on my plan for good weather. We went from 20% precipitation to 40% for Saturday. I've seen this change folks so lets get some VOO DOO dancing going. Also as a footnote I've been living down here for 6 years and I've seen tons of days with forcasted 40% precipitation and it DID NOT RAIN, so I'm being optimistic. Bring that sweet Charger of yours to this M&G...we need ya man!!

To answer the question of a rain date, no, the show will go on rain or shine. This was a tuff decision for us to make, but after reviewing our business plans, catering, all ready made trophies and other aspects of the M&G we couldn't pull it off. So, it won't rain anyway - it can't, we have a M&G planned, right?

Some updates for you:

TROPHIES

They are in man and they are sweet, we have 1st, 2nd and third place this time. 1st place is 24" with dual post, car on top with a plate, 2nd is 18", single post, car and plate and 3rd place is 12" and too cool to describe. We will have 8 classes for you all to vote on as follows:

NEW SCHOOL

a) SRT8 CLASS
This will include all SRT8s, Chargers, 300s, Mags, GCSRT8s

b) 5.7 HEMI CLASS
This will include all 5.7 LX Hemi cars

c) V6 LX Class
This will include all V6 LX cars

OLD SCHOOL

a) A Body Mopars

b) B Body Mopars

c) C Body Mopars

d) E Body Mopars

e) Other Mopars

Ok, here is the drill on voting: When you arrive we will park you in designated areas. We are going to try to separate all cars by class. Once you are parked I will give you a M&G packet. You'll get a dash plate that will have your unique number and a voting envelope that will have one voting ticket for each class. All you need to do it write the car's number on the ticket for its class and place your ticket in the voting bin at the control table. All voting has to be done by 12:20pm.

CALENDARS

We have decided to not have these this time around. If you are absolutely in need of one see me, I'll get you one and have it shipped to your house.

VIDEO

I need people to video everything, as much as you can, all the time and post on the board after the meet. I need someone to volunteer to video all of us leaving the dealership, PLEASE HELP!!!!

RALLY NOTES

We will take off at 1:30pm for Solomons Island. I hope we can invade the island and take lots of cool pics but I plan to have a big empty parking lot ready for photo shoots, more to come on this....there will be desiginated CHARGERs established as GROUP LEADERS that each of you should connect with, as a large group these leaders will stay in touch with me by cell.

Around 3:30pm I have a nice Rally set up that will take us back up NORTH Route 4 then off into the back roads, I've got a nice route mapped out that I think you'll like. In the end we will wind up at :

I will absolutely guarantee you will love this place, it's right on the Patuxant River, water front with a huge outdoor bar and so much more, plus good food!!!!!!!!! I've already arranged with the owner that we will be there so make plans to join us!!! It will be a blast. It is here we will end the day, good food, people and the whole 9 yards. A lot of times there will be a bunch of 30 to 50 foot off shore race boats docked while the guys get a bite, possibly we'll see them cruise in or out, who knows!!

Well the weather turned for the worse yesterday from 40% to 70% rain, which was un-expected. At the 40% we were on for the M&G, but now its 70% and will be raining till 3pm or 4pm Saturday which is basically our whole event. We already know most of the OLD SCHOOL guys will pass on driving thier cars in the rain as well as a good portion of us NEW SCHOOL guys. I am in conversation with the dealership as we speak and will make a RAIN DATE decision by 4PM today if nesessary. We feel the rain all day will drastically deminish attendance and dampen the festivities. We have a date in May but are watching the weather right now by the hour. Stayed Tuned for 4PM.

Here is the shinny: I spoke with catering and they can reschedule to a date in May or June. The dealership, on the other hand, has prepared for this event with advertising, radio station and so on. Right now with a 50-50 decision they want to wait till 10:30am tomorrow morning to make the final call. My hands are tied. I plan to post 2 polls in a minute to get some feedback from you if I were make some decisions for the betterment of our community then just having to do something because it is planned. So right now we are on will 10:30am tomorrow.
