Hampton/Langley Speedway autoX Sun 9/9
NASA Mid-Atlantic will be back at Langley Speedway in Hampton VA this Sunday 9/9/07 for more cheap fun with cars and cones... 20+ spots left, c'mon out... details:

11:30am reg & tech open
12:30pm course walk
1:00pm drivers meeting
1:30pm Heat 1 (30 cars max.)
3:30pm Heat 2 (30 cars max.)
$30 members / $40 nonmembers. Free to watch.
Participating drivers will get at least 6, but hopefully as many as 10, timed runs on a combined oval/infield course.
Novices are welcome. In-car instructors will be available free of charge.

Rainy autocrosses are more fun than dry ones. Slippy pavement = better learning experience. Rain removes horsepower from the equation and promotes smooth driving.
Sunday: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 8am. Cloudy, with a high near 82. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
We'd stop during the thunderstorms of course.

i just checked it out the weather.. i hope it doesnt rain...im supposed to be getting some r-compunds.....im pretty sure theyll suck in the rain.

Depends upon what they are & how much tread is left. My half-used fulltread Toyo RA1's are awesome in the rain.
