its not safe to do in the car, there are too many metal shavings. i have the kit but im in chester, about an hour and 20 mins from you

It absolutely is SAfe.. I've done it in car have you? I have the kit and I'd say if you buy serts you can use it but I'm in Baltimore LOL.

Tape the block off with painters tape before you drill and make sure to bolt the guide plate down securely. Clean out the freshly tapped holes with brake cleaner before you put the cert in. I've got 4K on my motor since time serting EVERY stud hole with the block still bolted in and I'm golden! There's a slick video how to in my time sert thread on here.

haha thats what i did today taped everything off and had to buy a drill cuz my air compressor took a dump. i bought just the timesert tap and the thread things that go in the block off ebay for pretty cheap. got my arp's in the mail. just gotta find the right size drill bit and i should be good. ive drilled and tapped holes before just not ones for the headbolts.

It's a special collared bit. You have to drill to a pretty precise depth.
