What would make you buy a Harley?
I hear you on the metrics and I do own a couple because they're reliable and easy to work on. The Harley would be for cruising, not really hard riding. We'll see if they meet my offer. Otherwise, I can live without it.
Wow, im almost afraid to post with so many haters here.
Ive had both and currently own a Harley. Im not old and I like performance. How many of you nay-sayers have actually rode a Harley? I can tell not too many since some models are no slouch. Th V-rod will smoke the tire off the bike.
My feeling is where do you get to actually "ride" a sportbike? Nowhere really. The track is about the only safe option. I can still hit the twisties and have plenty of power to play with, plus ill enjoy the 600 mile ride there.
I loved the high rev's of the crotch rocket though. 14000rpm is music to my ears. The handling is superior, but you sit on your nuts and your wrists hurt.
I will get another sportbike soon, but for the track only.
I like the blacked out look. Still waiting on my black and billet shocks. may add some straightbars too. The day after I bought it I got hit at 40mph from the rear while stopped at a light. $1500 later and here it is. Very tough bikes.

During re-construction (with shocks I need, but wrong model.)

After the accident.
