What are these 2 bikes?
Looking to get back into riding at some point. Had an old SRAD GSXR, but don't really want a full sport bike this time. I'm looking into Suzuki SV650/1000 but cant really tell the difference in all the years/models yet.
What are these bikes?
GSX-R forks on this one?:
And notice the lower fairing on this one:
Thanks for helping me with my n00bage problem!

i recognize the first Sv... he's on the Svrider forums.. and its a SV650. the second one its a 1k, you can tell by the dual exhaust... also, by the engine and the 180 rear tire.... And SV's are sportbikes, just under estimated. WAY under estimated. I've ridden "full on sportbikes" that dont handle as well as my sv.
EDIT.
I do have to say that the SV does have a giving (or whatever the word is) suspension... Its a begginer's bike, but if you set your shit suspension up right, it'll handle very nicely.

but come to think of it.. i think you really meant like, a bike with an upriding position.... Consider the Z1000, i love those things. And the triumph speed triple.

+1 on SVs being underestimated. Great machines that are easy to learn on, and then easy to race on once you get used to riding. You'll see them all day long at AMA amateur events.

Re: What are these 2 bikes?
Insurance is cheap because the SV is not the typical "Squid" bike... No offense, or im not even saying their better, but somebody who rides like shit and its a squid would more likely go for a SS, faired bike... And yes, SVs are sport bikes. . . They are though cheap, if you spend a few penies and tune the suspension it will handlle better than some SS bikes. It still is underpowered, but the low end torque is nice. .
Anyways, back on topic. .. I am 99 percent sure that insurance on a 1098 is cheaper than a R1, or a GSXR1K (a typical squid bike).. just sayin'
