Default Taking off Question...

Will taking off (not launching just regular riding around town) hurt my tranny if i leave a light in 2nd gear instead of first? Just wondering since first gear is really choppy...

you'll wear out your clutch slipping it but its not too bad for it. How is your first gear choppy though?

unfortunate by product of fuel injected bikes. they're all mapped on the lean side to pass epa tests, and the off-idle throttle repsonse usually suffers because of it. just learn to feather the clutch. you'll get the hang of it after a bit.

yup, they just don't have the low end grunt to get moving with only a little throttle.
