I try to ride to work everyday. If it's below 45 degrees in the morning or already raining though I'll take the car, no point in starting my day off uncomfortably. But I've gotten caught in the rain plenty of times in the afternoon. My dad has all the heated gear so he rides everyday unless it's already raining in the morning. His 2003 G35 has about 14k miles on it, most of that is from when I borrow it.

Also if it's over about 95 I debate riding, depending on where I'm going. I'm a full-time jacket and pants guy so if I'm going somewhere that I can't show up sweaty I take the car.

I'm actually bike shopping again, in the winter. As soon as I pick something up I plan on riding it if it runs.

Not a bad time to pick up a bike. Most of the seasonal riders and upgraders are getting rid of their bikes for cheap. Much easier to find a good deal.
