I'm jealous dude...I've been wanting to get down there for years, still haven't made it. I'd like to get down for the October meet...weekend of my birthday though so it may have to wait another year...don't want to be away from the baby on my b-day.

There's a member on him with a silver C4 Corvette that did this a few years ago. I had never heard of it before, but after that I researched it a little bit. Pretty cool event. Congrats on the speed!

That's Sonny. His vette was in Hot Rod last year, photographed at the Mile. He actually just got out of the hospital after a bike wreck a few weeks ago...doubt he'll be running for a little while.

SuperStreetbike magazine holds a contest every year...I have always wanted to go, but my 636 puts me just out of the 600 class, so I would be running against liter bikes and such. SS's contest is only top end, and there aren't as many classes...so I would lose, but it would be fun to see how fast I could go in a mile! I know it will do 160 on a dyno...but that is unlimited time, distance, and no wind resisitance.
Good post Steve. And congrats to your boy...would be fun watching a full bagger running full speed! How did it handle? Any problems?
