opinions on ZX6R 636?
alright heres one for ya. i'm looking at an 03 and an 04. the 04 is green, 03 blue.
what are the differences in these years? i'm googleing it now, but thought i'd ask for ya'lls input as well.
AND, what color do YOU think looks better. the green has really grown on me, but i dunno. both bikes have about 7k, and the 03 is about 300 cheaper.
well thanks for your input

Mind if I ask how much they're asking and how much you want to spend? Your best bet is to browse around on www.kawiforums.com and read up on them, and even check out the classifieds.. Again, you can find a killer deal!
I, personally, love the blue. I've had two of them! Green is what Kawasaki is notorious for, and you can't go wrong with it, but the blue is so beautiful in person. I've had lots of compliments.
IIRC, there were no significant changes between 03/04... Same model. Changed in 2005 to an undertail exhaust and obviously several other major differences, but the 03 and 04 are the same bike.
The only other color I'd take besides my blue is the beautiful orange paint scheme, but I'd still take blue over it.

Well, I was about to say get the blue one. Everyone who owns a Ninja should own a green one at some time. My first sport bike (2001 ZX6R) was green. I was considering buying a new one, but went with a GSX-R instead...
well that blue one is still for sale, his asking price is 5500 obo, and hes had it up for sale for about a month now. if the guy buys my car today, i will have cash mooney (will valderama voiace) and have a nice road trip planned to go and pick it up. so, anyone have a trailer?
its about 5 hours away

Can I get some more information about it? What are the mods? How many miles roughly? Where's it at? What's the history like? Young rider, older rider? First owner? Well maintained? Broken in properly? Clean title?
You might want to keep looking and keep your options open, honestly..
Sounds good, and the price isn't bad.. but it's all in what you want. Are you planning on doing any modifications to it at all? It would be nice to find one exactly the way you want it from elsewhere. I know it's important to make it yours and customize it the way you want, but you don't get any of your money back for aftermarket parts when you sell it unless you part it out, you know? Let someone else take the loss for the mods if you can. I bought mine bone stock, but it was too good of a deal not to!

well i don't plan on giving him 5500 for it, really, i plan on going no higher than 5000, because i will be paying in cash. and i'm sure i'll put a miffler on it, wind screen, bunch of other crap, but i was thinking and i would keep all the stock stuff around and probably put it all back on when i sold it (i've learned by selling my camaro you don't get back money in mods)
i did look on kawiforums, and i would really like to have an orange one, but the ones i found are a lot farther than this one, and i don't mind the blue...
thanks for going back and forth with me too, its helping me think of things i hadn't thought of

My boy got his 03' 636 for $5300, had 4,9XX miles, TRS slip, double bubble screen, undertail kit with LED's drilled into the rear pegs, hella clean. Picture can be found in the thread I created about the bike ticking.
