well a valve job is 575 with no parts at redline in hampton and that is every 4-6000 miles. and that is just a starting point. make up your own mind but I would not get one unless you have some deep pockets.

thats almost too good of a price. It would make me wonder if there's some kind of issues with it. As a day to day bike for commuting and stretching I'd look for something else though. They seem to hold their value a lot better than other bikes so the price really make me wonder

If you get a Ducati, take it to another dealership instead of Redline. I took my motor to them to get some machine work done and was raked through the coals. I will give them this... It was a Harley motor that I brought to them. I figured that if they can build a sophisticated Ducati V-Twin, a Harley Sportster motor would be a piece of cake. It was though. They made promises that they didn't keep. They said that they did work that was never done and threw parts away that I requested to keep. If you want a list of all the screw ups they made, I can send you photos and give you all the details. Oh btw, I'm not the only one that has been screwed by them. There are quite a few others out there as well.

There is a Ducati dealer in Richmond. I never deal with them but hope that their business ethics are better than David's at Redline.
