Intermediate strongly recommended)
o Oil fill plug (Advanced safety wired, Beginner and
Intermediate strongly recommended)
o Oil filter (Advanced safety wired, Beginner and
Intermediate strongly recommended)
o Oil leaks
o Fuel leaks
o Coolant drained, flushed and replaced by water (for
Advanced only). No Engine Ice or Evans coolants.
o Coolant hoses and connections checked for leaks

Brakes:
o Brake pad wear
o Reservoirs (front and rear)
o Fluid condition (if over one year old, replace it)
o Fluid level
o Leaks
o Calipers mounting bolts
o Lever feel (should not be allowed to contact handlebar
when squeezed hard)
o Brake hoses (condition and routing, no binding or
interference allowed)

Chassis & Suspension:
o Steering stem and bearing play
o Exhaust
o Foot pegs
o Shift linkage
o Rear brake linkage
o All levers (front brake, clutch)
o Throttle smooth and auto returns
o Handlebars
o Triple tree
o Front fork seal leaks
o Front fork alignment
o Front wheel bearings
o Front wheel axle bolt and pinch bolts
o Rear wheel axle and alignment

Default Re: NESBA Question

and because I dont want any confusion

Cornerspeed: http://www.cornerspeed.net/

Bike Preparation Requirements:

-Bikes must have oil fill cap, oil drain plug and oil filter safety-wired.

-Liquid cooled bikes must run water only or racing approved coolant only, no anti-freeze.

-Remove mirrors, tape over all glass and lights. AND Tape over the speedometer. You do not need the speedometer on the racetrack. It is an unsafe distraction.

-Tires must be Sport or Race compound with good tread depth. New tires are recommended.

-Side stand and/or Center stand must be secured in the up position using safety wire or zip ties. We prefer that you remove it but it is not required. You are required to have the stands secured in the up position before going onto the racetrack.

We reserve the right to turn anyone away whose bike does not meet the above requirements. It is your responsibility to have these basic requirements done. No refunds will be given.

Rider Gear Requirements:

-Rider's must have leathers (two-piece that zip into one is acceptable). 360 degree zipper around the waist to prevent gapping and serious skin injury in the event of a crash is highly recommended.

-Back protector (Hard shell, sanctioned race org. approved, i.e. Dainese, Knox, Bohn, etc.)*

-Leather boots or race approved boots (8 inches tall). Cordura hiking boots/ankle boots are not acceptable.

-Gloves (good condition, gauntlet style with closures).

-Snell or BSI approved helmet (high impact tested) less than 5 years old. The production date will be located inside the helmet (depending on the brand, it may be on a sticker inside or stamped into the leather on the helmet strap). Helmets with any visible crash damage will be rejected. Helmets are made to withstand one crash, not numerous crashes. This statement can be verified with most helmet manufacturers.

*Regarding back protectors: A soft foam liner does not qualify as a back protector. The foam liner offers little to no protection. CE armor is not much better. The hardshell type back protectors offer the most protection and are the most widely used. In the event of an accident, you need all the protection you can get. The cost of a $125-150 back protector is far better than the costs of spinal surgery and rehab.

Cordura riding suits are not allowed unless the event sponsor has made arrangements prior to the event. We reserve the right to turn anyone away whose equipment does not meet the above requirements. It is your responsibility to make sure your helmet is up to date. No refunds will be given.

Sportbike Track time: http://www.sportbiketracktime.com/

Bike Preparation (Also know as "101 uses for duct tape")

1) All bikes MUST pass technical inspection prior to admittance to the track. If your bike DOES NOT pass tech inspection, you will NOT receive a refund.

2) Tires and brakes must be in good condition. Tires should be at least 75% of new condition. Any tires that are bluing from excessive wear will be disallowed. Slicks are allowed in 85% plus condition. We will have on site tire service at each track day, so if your tires don't pass, you will have the opportunity to put on replacement tires to pass tech.

3) All glass, headlight, turn signals, and plastic lenses must be taped over or removed. Side mirrors must be removed for the advanced group and at least taped over for all other groups.

4) We recommend, but do not require removal of center stands. No bikes with center stands will be allowed in the Advanced/Racer Group due to the ground clearance issue.

5) All machines must have an operational handlebar mounted kill switch/button and self-closing throttle in good working condition.

6) Advanced and Intermediate group riders MUST use water or water wetter or a non-ethyl glycol based anti-freeze/coolant. Approved Poly Glycol brands are: Evans, 7th Gear, Liquid Performance, and Engine Ice. NO AUTOMOTIVE ETHYL GLYCOL BASED COOLANTS ARE ALLOWED.

7) All valve stems must have caps.

8) Wheel balance weights must be well-secured.

9) License plates must have bolts taped or be removed.

1) Damage free BSI, DOT or SNELL full-face helmet with face shield.

2) Riding boots that fully cover the ankle.

3) Gauntlet style gloves with full wrist coverage.

4) One or two piece leathers. Two piece leather suits must zip together for Novice, Intermediate or Advanced groups. Ballistic nylon suits such as Joe Rocket, AeroStich etc. are acceptable in the Novice and Intermediate Group only provided they are either one piece or two piece that zip together with 50% zipper contact, reinforced and padded shoulders, elbows, hips, and knee areas. No chaps.
