nice, everyone's ideas all are over the place. I still havnt heard back from my insurance just yet, I'll give them a call tommorow if they don't call. The agent guy was kinda cool and might up the value b/c of the exhaust, intergrated turn signals and tinted windscreen.

what I might do is fix some of the stuff. b/c if I fix it whats stopping someone from knocking it over again? the bike is safer in NoVa than it is here. And next yr I'll be living at an apartment complex which isnt much better espically if I get a nicer bike like a sv 650.

Actually apon further thought, I think imma go the fighter look. Its prolly my best bet for where I am right now. No point of getting a nice bike untill I'm settled down and living somewhere better than PG County. An w/o fairings, more tip overs shouldnt cause much damage. Anyone know nice sites for some headlights, i've been googling

I'd also recommend frame sliders, they're cheap and they'd be perfect for your situation.

Check out CustomFighters.com for ideas for a headlight. The most commonly used headlights are the Acerbis headlights. http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com...Headlight.aspx. If you wanted to do this super cheap, and if memory serves me correctly, you can use the headlight setup from a naked GS500. Drop the forks out of the top triple, slide the GS500 setup into place, and put the forks back into the top triple.

The last time I checked, there are no off the shelf frame sliders for the EX500. Probably the best thing I've seen was done at a local shop where they replaced the front engine mount bolts and used frame sliders instead.

You could also use frame sliders as the passenger foot pegs, but other than that, I'm out of ideas.
