helments
I love it. Honestly, it is a great night helmet too. Have not had many of those. Just had a very relaxing blip down 501 with all the highway lights and smooth new asphalt paving the way home.
Fuck driving a car.

Agreed. I had to drive it for the first time the other day in over a week.
OP. A helmet is not truly supposed to match your bike (though it is a bonus if it does in a small way). A helmet matches your personality and style. If you like tapout and their faggotry, buy something with a bunch of skulls and tribal designs all over it.
Take the 3 out of those that you like the best, then google them, and find reviews. Based on that.. order one.

^ That is a different story. He is out looking for "his" helmet and wether or not the road racing helmet and a real moto lid is any different.
He should be on the right track now, this isn't 2002 anymore. That dog thing has got to go

the top of the line expensive helmets like shoei, arai, shark, suomy, bell....are very light weight compared to the scorpions, hjc, afx...
if you like to race or ride long distances then get a light weight helmet. less fatigue on your neck better ventilation. noise level mostly the same no matter which brand.
as far as protection goes, make sure that it is dot, snell, ece...certified.
i started out on cheap helmets like hjc, afx, nolan helmets when i first started riding. but i prefer the high end helmets like arai, shoei, and suomy now.
