Trader!

A friend of mine just got an '06 750.. Nice looking bike! I saw it in person the other day and I have to admit that I like the way it looks, but everyone cruises on their GSX-R's around here in their sandals and tank tops/shorts... and enjoy parking and standing next to their bikes more than they do riding. I like the local Kawi riders because they all prefer going out and riding. The Gixxers are extremely nice bikes! They just have a bad stereotype for the type of people that ride them, unfortunately.... around here, at least.

I think maybe its the fact that suzuki doesn't require full coverage insurance, so its easier for younger people or less responsible people with bad records to get one than another make, but yea i'd say i see way more squidly type people working at suzuki than i did at honda

They're great bikes.. it's just an unfortunate stereotype that tags along because it's often times true. That makes sense why that's the case though.

I couldn't fathom paying full coverage right now at this age.. I've got everything covered that matters, so it's not bare bones liability coverage, but collision would be ridiculous for a 21 year old with a little bit of a speeding record. lol

I think it's a fairly even distribution. There is no way I could ride the 600RR though. To me, it was the most uncomfortable thing ever on the street. I've rode a buddies a few times to try to get comfy and it's not possible. For this reason, I had it narrowed down to the new Gixxer or 636. The central exhuast, lower seat height, thinner (width) seat and better gauges are things that won me over.

Visually, I'm a fan of both and wish the Gixxer was available in all black. I'm sure I'll be happy with what I got coming in.
