It's a Honda CBR 900rr.

No, I really mean it. Do you clutchless shift or use the clutch everytime you shift?
I'd go with OEM myself; unless you race it.

I use the clutch when I shift. I let a friend drag race it the other day...He clutchless shifts.
Any idea on a price on clutch parts?
might wanna bounce the aftermarket clutch price off that of the OEM part. Generally speaking you can get a better part from an aftermarket source with the money you would pay for a STOCK OEM replacement. Just a thought.

CLuthless shifting is when you get up in your RPM's and then you just shift into the next gear. Alot of guys use this method when they are riding wheelies long distances. Dont know if it does any damage or not. I assume nothing MAJOR, as i have done it a few times just messin around. Not while riding one wheel though, im not into all that really.
what year is it? 93-97 takes different plates than 98-99... i'd open it up and see how your metals look, personally i'd just replace it all while you've got it opened up, fibers, metals, new clutch springs, and don't forget the clutch cover gasket
honda oem will run you right around $150, i usually sell EBC but Barnett, Factory and Vesrah all make clutch parts also... you can get everything aftermarket except the clutch cover gasket, going aftermarket you could definetly be under $100 for everything
give your local dealer a call and see what they are selling all you need for, then if you want shoot me an e-mail and i'll see if i can do better
as for the clutchless shifting, if done properly(<----- key phrase) it is actually less damaging to the transmission than using the clutch, now you don't want to be doing this while going around in regular traffic, but if you are wide open on the throttle and up in the revs you just put some pressure upwards on the shifter, the gears are under so much pressure from acceleration it will not change gears, but if you let off the throttle for just a milli-second it will unload the transmission and go into the next gear... from what i understand using the clutch to shift like that can actually be more damaging to the transmission as it allows some of the tranny parts a moment to slow down and then when you go into gear and let the clutch back out they all have to get caught up to speed again, where if your clutchless shifting it all happens so quick the tranny barely misses a beat... but neither one if done correctly won't be too bad for your bike or clutch, its fun to just blast through the gears like that, and if i go wide open its like second nature to clutchless shift, but unless your drag racing or something and really need that extra .001 of a second you might gain then i'd just 'granny shift' and save some wear on your tranny
