You mean quicker acceleration to the speed limit? I was not aware we were balling outrageous on our bikes everywhere.

Ah yes my mistake.

But you will still have more problems with an older bike then a newer one.

It really wasn't pointless arguing. Just because someone says something on this site doesnt mean its correct.

Thanks. That helps. I know the bike will be a good starting point.
Just because you rode your brothers zx9 once makes you an expert?

Do you plan on taking the MSF course?

I'm pretty sure he was just stating he understands what you're saying. Plus saying "you'll probably have more problems with something thats old compared to something thats new"... is kinda a "no duh" statement.

[QUOTE=T226;4261805]I mean no insult by this but, having rode a motocross bike has really nothing in common with a sportsbike minus the fact that both have an engine and two wheels. They are two COMPLETLY different things.

Actually, there are alot of techniques from Motorcross racing that you apply in road racing...... Main one being counter steering. So you are wrong in your statement........ most people that have riden dirtbikes or have done any motorcross racing will pick up on riding a street bike faster than someone who hasnt!

Where did I say I was an expert or even the hint of it?
