Bar end help
I just got some bar ends. I'm having trouble removing the phillips head screw/bolt holding the stock ones on. They're torqued to like 9 billion pound feet. I guess I'm wondering if there's a special tool for this, besides a phillips head bit. No phillips head that I put in there seems to fit properly. I don't want to strip anything. This may seem like a stupid question, but I'm new to bikes still and figured maybe someone has experience in this. I hate for such a simple thing as unscrewing something to prevent me from putting these things on.
Thanks very much for any help with this.

Re: Bar end help
use an impact driver (not an impact gun)
it's like a big heavy screwdriver, but when you hit the end of it with a hammer, it breaks tough bolts loose.
what kind of bike? some bikes use an expanding rubber bar end, and you're not supposed to take the bolt all the way out to remove the bar end, just loosen it to de-compress the rubber, and wiggle the bar end assembly out.

Re: Bar end help
Thank you!
It's an 09 ninja 250r..i don't know if i understood what you said properly or not, but the stock bar ends aren't rubber, and by looking at them, i get the idea that the bolt needs to be removed completely. But like i said, i am new to this, and i'm open to anything you experienced guys have to offer.

Re: Bar end help
Make sure you have thr right size before you make it a pretty round hole.
An impact driver is your best bet, aswell as a few hammer taps to free up any gunk holding it in.
Put some ass into it!
