A hot car is one that makes you think WTF and awesome all at the same time. I saw real clean fairmonte wagon in a parade once. Nicely restored, painted charcoal grey with matching powdercoated wheels and the rumble of a 5.0. Thats the kind of car that makes you double take, not a freaking dime a dozen, shit can, screamin chicken with a turbo. Played, played, played, even if it has 3,000,000 hp. Who gives a fuck.

Would a fairmonte be the hottest car in Richmond? Probably not but it was hot and far hotter than a Firebird.

BTW if you daily drive that car I'll kiss your ass. You can stand there and pretend like it the only thing you drive but I know better. I bet that car might make it out of the garage once a week if its lucky.

 

He doesn't have a garage... and yes he drives it every day, how do I know? well I ride with him to lunch (because we both work at the same place) every fucking day.

If you know of another turbo firebird, hell even another turbo Ls1 in virginia... let me know.... I am not saying it isn't possible....but I have yet to hear of/see them.

I would imagine it's terribly flattering to be the object of this much debate either way right Dave? I'm gonna go on record and say there's a lot of hot cars in Richmond, I've seen a few of them in the parking lot of my shop. I've seen more than a couple 9 second cars there and it's not as rare as people would think. I was surprised i can tell you that. Either way, that level of performance is to be respected. Period. No matter whose car it is or how many doors it may or may not have. Certainly that's agreeable yes?

 

thats right, i am completely flattered.. and i think its funny.

i do dive the car every day that its not broke.. it is down for work more than a stock car but the wear and tear on parts is understandable. i WISH i had a garage.
