What's everyone think of Kumho's??
When i bought my new rims a couple months ago, money was kinda short so i ended up putting Kumho's on 'em (205/40/17), neve had em before, and haven't had em to the track yet. I had Potenza's prior to the new rims. Any comments/experiences with them??

Re: What's everyone think of Kumho's??
doesn't firestone make the potenza??
kumho's are OK for the money, do not expect them to perform like a bfg or nitto or anything remotely related. i work for a local tire company (actually a national corp. lol) and we sell the shit out of kumho's... don't ask me why, but we do. i guess you could classify them as an 'economy performance' tire
not to be an ass... but if you're running only a 14s 1/4 time, then you should be ok. i wouldn't imagine that you're going to over-torque the tires.

I don't think he was asking about drag radials. Kumho's are one of the better tires for your dollar on the market. Which potenza's did you have? Some of them, like the S02's, RE730's, etc. are VERY good tires as far as cornering/grip goes.

Although i'm not saying the H.O. 5.0s aren't capable of being bad ass, but the t-birb was the crap version of it, something like 140hp

RE730s. And yeah they were awesome!! I hated that they wore out, even in the rain they handled great!!
