I think the most annoying thing was the wiring, it wasn't hard really, just a lot of wires to solder (about 100 or so) plus the fact that you need a FSM for a silvia and a 240sx or have a pretty good knowledge of 240sx wiring (but you still probably need a FSM, haha) but, it started and everything works yay

so that started life a lhd, right? did you just cut out and swap firewalls? i talked to one of the main body guys at pence nissan about it one day and he said it would be better to actually half cut the whole car and use a front clip and new parts like roofskin and stuff to properly put it back to spec. he said it would be easyer and the car would be better put together and straighter in the long run.

The least stressed part of the car is the firewall. Everything fit togeather and lined up perfect. If you would like to cut a car completely in half and weld it back togeather, be my guest, but I would NEVER drive that car. Anyway, I finished up the car (for the most part) still a couple loose ends to finish up but, 99% of the interior is back togeather and the car runs and drives great. Everything works as far as turn signals, defroster, etc. Anyway I'll post pics up later tonight. Total work time was a little less than 2 weeks.

To be completely honest, if anyone is thinking about doing this DON'T, just buy the real thing, it's a lot less work and can be had for about the same money you'd have in a converted car.

Yea no shit.... god that would be scarry enough to drive the damn thing down the street and hit a bump, much less drive it fast.

BTW: only a minimal amount of the firewal was cut. And replaced with a larger piece so it overlaps (adds strength), then spot welded and mig welded. I'm confident it's solid. And like I said, everything lined up perfectly.

I think I saw him today. It was an older 240 w/ RHD conversion, saw the intercooler up front. He blew by me on 288 while I was driving my brothers Jeep. Looked cool.
