Meanwhile... back in reality...

Police officers are people too, and sometimes they make mistakes or (gasp) exhibit traits of fellow humans, prejudices and all. Police officers are hired to enforce the laws written by representatives of the people and their community.

If you are unhappy with the actions of a single sworn officer, then there are procedures for placing a complaint and it is your right and duty as a citizen to do so. Same with any government employee all the way from the DMV clerks to Supreme Court Justices.

While enforcing the laws created by votors and their representatives, for the good of the community, some laws may be broken (illegal u-turns, turning without a signal, speeding) as long as proper care is taken to ensure the safety of all involved. That is why there are flashing blue lights and sirens on such vehicles.

If the officer is not actively enforcing the laws as per the sworn oath, you may (at your descretion) call the dispatcher or commanding officer. Yes, you can call #77 on your mobile to report a speeding trooper who is not persuing another vehicle. Make sure you are not breaking any laws while doing so, however.

Due to the nature of this forum located on DRAGva.com, most of the hostilities will be directed towards police. Have seen some complain about unsafe drivers in parking lots and how they wish the police would have done something about it, then turn around and complain about their own speeding tickets.

Take responsiblity for your own actions and take action within your own community. I actively participate in government to make a positive change. Hearing people whine and complain only reminds me of toddlers needing a diaper change. Smells like shit, who's crying now?

everything you say makes sense, but for me personally i didn't mention the 4 tickets that i got that i deserved, sure i was pissed that i was gonna get something on my record when i got pulled but i was only pissed at myself because i chose to speed knowing the risk, the officers were doing they're job as they were supposed to, but what and theres a difference in making mistakes or having a bad day, and out right lying and abusing their power, i've had cops be dicks but not really do anything wrong and i just say hey if i had to take shit from people all day long with no thanks only to get back to the precinct only to get even more shit from their supervisors i'd probably be a little pissy to, that i understand and accept since they are people and it is after all only a job... but in my little bike story he straight up told me if i didn't shut my mouth he would write a ticket that was totally false and then flaunted that in court it wouldn't matter whether it happened or not, that is just wrong and makes other officers look bad, in hinde site i probably should have gotten his information and reported him, but after his threat i just wanted to get the hell outta there while i was still ahead

Sometimes it's best to fold a winning hand. Maturity helps us decide when the timing is right.

I'll confess that 99% of the time that i get pulled its because something is wrong with my car or that im doing something stupid. Dont hate cops for doing their jobs people. Just abide by the law and dont think everytime you get pulled its because they hate Hondas or hate Mustangs...its because they are paid to do so. And remember that you arent the only person being pulled. The same officer that might have pulled you for having too dark of tint could of also been the officer that just pulled over a drunk individual that would be coming in your path down the road.

Just act polite, take your ticket and deal with it accordingly later. If you know your car is illegal in some way then expect to get pulled. If you drive like a crazy person then expect to get pulled. If you do nothing wrong, but get a officer that feels like pulling someone...expect to get pulled. Thats life, drive safe.

I think what you meant to say was that you are not consciously breaking laws that would endanger others, correct?

BTW: There is an image section in your profile instead of taking up bandwidth in your tagline. Please be mindful of those logging in via 56k modems. 3-4 text lines with your name and a VERY BRIEF description of your car and/or fav quote is considered courteous.
