There was a stabbing right outside of the ODU campus last week in the middle of the night. I dont really know the details of it, it was a mass text messege/email alert.

 

I'm not naive, I know the city can be dangerous at night. It's not a fear thing, I'm genuinely pissed off. I guess it's the fact that they killed the kid in cold blood. He had given them what they wanted, why did they feel the need to shoot him in the back?

I have a theory. Its the stupid culture that encourages violence and being a "thug". You know what I'm talking about. These stupid fucks congregate on Broad next to the Hess station nearly every weekend night, and almost every time it ends in gunfire. Sometimes I feel like taking a rifle onto my balcony and just taking shots. These people are complete wastes of human life.

I've been in Byrd park waaay past midnight many times too. Just sit by the pond and try to catch one of the rumored fish in it. So much for that plan now - and yes I carry 99.9% of the time.

Can't wait til they catch those fuckers.

i was nearly trampled outside of temple hall last spring when some moron popped shots off into the air after a rap concert at the landmark. the motherfucker already had outstanding warrants for failure to show to court, was a convicted felon with an unregistered firearm, shot off rounds on/near a school (which i've heard was a federal offense), and then ran from the police and resisted arrest. stupid motherfucker...

I live over by byrd park and I honestly can get scared just being in my house at night. We hear gun shots, police sirens, helicopters, thugs yelling shit outside and repeat almost every night.

Almost 2 months ago I took my bicycle out to ride over to shafer to meet my girlfriend for dinner, it was just getting dark and I've never had a problem before in my neighborhood. Well I rode by 3 guys, one jumped out in front of my and decked me in the face. I woke up in the middle of the street by an older lady and I was pretty out of it and tried to walk the rest of the way to shafer. I ended up in the hospital until 4am. Just because some idiot wanted to impress his friends I ended up not being able to complete any work for the next few days and then missed out on the weekend because I had to go home to see the doctor.

Yea, pretty funny that I was so worried about getting homework done and then the next thing I know I'm staring at the ceiling of an ambulance and rattling off my DOB and SSN to a guy. I'm pissed that the guy will never know how much shit he caused me just because he wanted to impress his friends or whatever.

I say impress his friends because I was knocked out cold in the road and they didnt touch my wallet or anything.

Nope, I woke up tangled up in the thing. Since I have straps my feet didnt come out the peddles so I just ended up caught in it.

Tore my favorite leather seat thats followed me bike to bike to hell and scratched a new frame to all hell though.
