Default State police now using a Dodge Charger...since when?

So I'm cruising today to New Kent County and when I get onto I-64 I see state troopers everywhere..I come across six. This has to be the most I've seen on a stretch of highway and I guess its related to the ending of the month and the ease of excessive speeding on that stretch of road. Anywho, I took notice that one of the state troopers was rocking a marked Dodge Charger and it actually looked pretty nice...when its not behind you

So I have a simple question...roughly when did VA state police start rolling these out?

I'm from PWC (NoVA) so I have yet to spot one up here...but I wouldn't be surprise if that eventually happens...and they are unmarked.

Chargers, Camaros, Impalas, Crown Vics, newer Malibu's... I saw 11 cops between Richmond and Hampton on Friday afternoon. They're out in full force.

Check the news. They are doing one of those speed enforcement things this week and are apparently bringing out the airplanes and all.

I got on 288 one day and passed one doing about 85. It was light blue and unmarked. The only reason I knew he was a cop was after I passed him he turned on his siren for a second. When I slowed down he pulled up beside me a mouthed "slow down" and I noticed up by the passenger visor was the radar box.
