so snowboarding leaves me in the hospital
shit you got off lucky. When I dislocated my shoulder I had to have surgery and was in an upperbody cast to lock my arm next to my body, and that was during the summer. Doc says he wants me to have surgery again because the ligaments are stretched again.
Glad it wasnt that severe.

well they are talking about maybe needing surgery if it doesnt heal right on its own.
I hate staying in this sling and not using my arm, so i havent been using the sling like I should.
I had to end up not working and I hate it, so i keep trying to use it. I have a feeling im gonna end up putting myself through surgery cuz im hard headed.
I never realized how much pain and trouble a dislocated shoulder is. I now know
it could have been worse. my best friend in college was snowboarding out west in a free ride area... not sure how it happened but he caught an edge and plowed ass first into the ground and against a tree. he broke his collar bone and dislocated his shoulder, but he ALSO...
...got a 4 inch tree root UP his ass. had to have lots of surgeries and other embarrassing butt stuff. 100% serious.

One of my friends busted his shoulder in the Ukraine last month. When he got back stateside, they had to rebreak his forearm, pop-out then reset his shoulder. He'd okay now but still in a sling. Soviet-era hospitals are about as sanitary as a cole slaw factory.
