"scary mountain people" live in houses a lot scarier than that one. that looks positively inviting compared to some of the shacks up there.
i like the drive down 30 from doswell to king william.

another cool ride we usually do on bikes, but wouldn't be bad in cars either is out of downtown richmond you go route 5 for a good ways, maybe 25 minutes, turn right onto route 10 at the flashing stop sign, go over a bridge, good view, take a left when that road comes to an end, then you drive for probably 40 minutes til the road comes to a stop sign i think in surry, take a left and get on the james river ferry, take the ferry across the river into williamsburg, good place for lunch or shopping, then get on 64 east and get off at west point, run across two more bridges through a little town and turn left onto route 14, thats a good twisty road that will run you into 360 back home to richmond... thats a fun half day trip

Up for Twisty fast roads in fast cars. My older brother has a BMW M3 that we do that in. So if you guys go he always likes to go for a drive.

Ya'll thinking about a local cruise or one in the twisty mountains? Kevin may be able to recommend some back roads in the Ashland area.
