Before this thread goes further, Terry...go find a Elise and practice getting in and out. This will make your decision 10x's easier. Also, don't plan on getting comfy in a stock Elise seat either. They are bordering on Kirkey-ish.

It's a bitch, no two ways about it. And yes, I've driven one. No, I couldnt get out. Well, gracefully that is. Considering that I'm used to crawling through a door to get to and from work, thats saying something.

On the other hand, I don't support the Miata decision either. Fuck lag.

Oh, they aren't quite that bad. Bad, but not quite Kirkey-ish bad.

Saw my first Elise in person last night, considering I've seen probably 100 or more "hooked up" s2000's and probably half as many modded miatas on the road, and only one elise that alone would make the decision for me, you seem to like to have something a little different and the elise is definetly the most rare, and the coolest i think

So, so true.

And come back with your impressions when you test drive the Elise. I'm 6'2" and there's no way I could get in and out of that thing everyday. But when you do get in it, it fits you like a glove.
