Well I hate to be the bearer of bad news but if people can't realize a 2V 4.6L can't make power and run times, you are mistaken. Some of the fastest all motor 2V's are running 10.8's without a power adder. Some have been running 12.8's with under 250 rwhp and as little as 4.30's, shifter, a DR, midpipe and catback, and that is it. I know of a few that have ran 12.70-12.98 with those mods. it is also not hard to get a 2V to make 600-750 rwhp with the right blower/turbo setup either.
That doesnt mean they all will. Sometimes you have a car with a ton of mods, but if it is poorly built, a shitty tune, or just the wrong combo selected(I.E a dohc 4V with low compression set up w/ a turbo or stage 3 cams on an unported B headed 97-98 Cobra) you won't see any real gains or power at all.
I have also seen some fast 302's running mid to low 12's(Jimmy and Nics old coupe). Again it is about the right choice of mods and proper selection which will get you the power. It is cheaper to make more power with a pushrod 5.0 than it is a modular. However, once you hit a certain hp, both are equally expensive to go further.
I never under estimate any cars ability whether it is a supra, Honda, dsm, etc. Yes most are not what you think they are, but you never know when you will run into that sleeper thats running 9's!! They can easily beat a domestic just as easy as they can be beat with the right car.

. I have much repect for that one!back then i was young back in 98-99 all i had was a summit book just ordering aftermarket parts for it but you have told me somthing i didnt know ,it explains the no high rpm power
one other thing was the trannys dont hold up but thats a whole nother story
me being a import guy i still love the ls1 and ls2 v8 engine over any motor made in the us for best bang for the buck when it comes down to only us cars
but still its funny its so easy to make them fast like that but every time i hit the track its maybe few fast stangs there and a shit load of 14-13sec ones with many mods
I guess u know just as much stuff about stangs as i know about imports

Just offering some other info that there are better exahausts out there for less.
They dont offer the best hp neither. Not to mention the pricing.
