Remember that it's a REAL college town, so college students who aren't lame and boring are always going to have something to do. Football games, DT, frat parties, hiking at the Cascades, tubing/kayaking/BBQ on the river, and overall just acting young and stupid. Damn, I miss me some VT!Welcome to RIC, ericlws66. I found a house with garage in Bellemeade neighborhood for cheap. Looks like a bad part of town though by using www.RichmondCrime.org Could anyone give me any more info on that area. Is it that bad?

I'm not white, but I definitely enjoy getting wasted. It was fun for maybe the first two years, then it gets old because you always see the same people out. If you're from NOVA and VT, then you will definitely think Richmond is slow and boring.
There is no reason to ever move to or even visit the Southside. If you work by that Laburnum exit, I think the closest place to live might be the Museum District. You won't have to pay tolls. Good luck.
