Default Lotus Elise avail in US May 2004

Oh yeah. 190 hp version coming to the States for the first time in May. The Sport 190 for track-only use has been avail for awhile here, but damn, this one will be road legal. Been drooling over this car for years. That much power in a tiny car weighing less than 1800 pounds. Considered to be the top handling production car in the world. Yeah, sex on wheels.

How could you be a car-geek and not know the Elise was coming here?

AND it's Toyota powered.

WHA? Toyota powered? Last time i checked the ones in the US were B18C5 powered or Zetec powered, and even some Rover powered ones. What Toyota engine will they throw in there (hopefully not the MRS one)? Even if its the Celica GT-S motor, i'd prefer the "Hype ARR" engine.

How many around here have ever seen an Elise? I have, im special...thats right, im special.

Richard, never knew you were such a big Elise fan? It's nice to see a Mustang guy like more then just a Mustang. Personally I'd take an Elise over a 03 Cobra right now, hands down.

I hope the Elise makes it over here but I'm not getting my hopes up. I fucking loved the M250 (which they said they would ship to the states) but they canned that project too. Bastards.
