Eh long fucking day. I'm going to school driving down Newbys then I hear *zing* and the car starts chocking out. I cut it off and coast into some guys driveway. I then smell fuel and go to check the pump. The damn fuel line popped clean off the pump assembly. A nice puddle developed in the back of my car. I then stick it back in, try to start the car and it pops off again except this time I didn't have the cover on and fuel sprayed all over my stupid ass. Somehow the 3rd time it stayed on and I got to school smelling like fuel and with shit all over my hands. I got up most of the gas with paper towels from whoever's driveway I was in. I was fucking paranoid as hell the whole time down 288. I need to put the carpet back on because I'm hearing all kinds of sounds that I really don't need to. I just want to blow my car up in peace. I seem to remember the 1zz always sounding like a tractor, but you didn't hear it inside the car before. Now you do. Anyways, as I'm coming back from school, the damn thing came off three times. The 3rd time I pulled into the church on Bailey Bridge tires purring(shitty tires up front) and almost hitting a minivan because I didn't want to lose momentum. Anyways, I don't think I'll be driving the car this weekend until I get that fuel line fixed, and check out some of these pesky vibrations and what sounds like an air leak. I think I'll try buying a Honda this weekend too.

Yeah, what he said. If you suspect a leak in the line itself, cover it with some liquid soap (easy cleanup afterwards) and look for bubbles.

No, not really...its hard to explain. There's no leak in the actual line. It just keeps popping off where it connects to the pump assembly. Must of broke something when we put the new pump and o-ring in.

Hum, its some plastic piece thats part of the assembly. It just kind of snaps-on somehow. It doesn't seem to have a nipple or anything. It was working fine for the past week than suddenly it just wants to come off every 5 minutes.
