Kevin.. dude... you have always been alright in my book. You work your ass off at the dyno, treat all of us with respect (Even though we are on the darkside.. aka GM he he) and I appreciate you setting up the FATS/SATS even though I have yet to make it out to one.... BUT... as I have argued with you on the TCM site.... anyone with a car they drive daily/modify is lying if they say they never "play" on the street on occasion, including you. If i have too, I will dig up the posts where you were talking about racing a few f-bods through miles of country roads.... that's still street racing... because, well... it was done.. on the STREET. Stopping on a crowded highway is dumb and flying down back roads is even dumber... little kids play in their yards, ride bikes down the street, deer can jump in the way.. etc.. all you have to do is lose control, spin off and kill someone... hell you could end up in someone's living room. At least on the highway they would be going straight.. so less chance of wrecking then driving on the edge around turns.. And I don't know of many highways with houses feet off them.

True, from the sound of this post, this "event" was a complete fuck up and due to ricers acting this retarded ever since that damn movie, the rest of us have seen more heat from the cops (aka tax collectors with a badge and a gun). It's tough to cruise up broad street anymore without getting pulled for some stupid reason... thanks again to ricers.
And for you to report something like that to the police was just a bad move.... they just love shit like this. Instead of concentrating on people getting raped, robbed, beat up, their car stolen/vandalized, drugs, etc... they spend it messing with all of us "pesky" car guys (why? well it's all about money)... this just gives them more reason to do so. Now when I come through there with my loud car... I'm gonna get pulled and accused... just great.
I don't do the organized street racing thing... I'd rather do it at the track, don't know about the rest of you but at richmond on a street night.. i actually get tired of running the car and end up stopping after 8 runs or so... VMP can suck my ass.. fuck that place. However...i do drive my car a lot on the street... and if provoked in a safe spot I'll play a little from a roll.

Then as I was trying to find a way around all of you'll my buddy behind me in his fucking Toyota Matrix with his wife almost rear ended another jackass that stopped infront of him.

You are correct, people die everyday from normal driving and other unavoidable things. Maybe its just me, but I see making the decision to NOT test the top speed of your WS6 something that can help the chance of killing people. I am very anti-street racing and I have a ton of police officer friends. Being a "nark" comes easily when you merely mention something to a friend. So be it.

Yes, just like 250lbs fucking squirrels that easily crush the A-pillars of any car at speed (what happened on 288).

 

As I just posted. I didn't instantly get on a phone and start blabbering about this. I was talking to friends and mentioned how I couldn't believe that I had to come to a stop on 295 because a bunch of idiots were street racing. Then HE mentioned to me that they were well aware of it happening already.

He honestly told me that they dont have the time to worry with kids in their cars BECAUSE they are busy doing the important stuff no one thinks cops do. So take it as you read it.

 

btw, this wasn't meant to be a Kevin vs. Street racing thread. This was merely me posting at how amazed I was that this happened and how my buddy and I almost wrecked because of it.

anyone that feels the need to, feel free to join me and my friends the early half of july up at summit point for hyperfest. You can get amatuer track time and that way people can put their egos to the test....it takes more than going straight to make a driver.
