That's your opinion.... and here is another "opinion" for you.... I think you are ignorant to the entire thing..... does it really matter what I think?... no not really. However though, the facts are that NASCAR brings an ASSload of money to every location they race with all of the hotels, restaurants, novelties, beer sales, etc.. and it's a great damn place to drink your ass off and fuck around with slutty chicks
Another fact is considering the limitations they have like only carbs, etc... there is a ton of technology involved... more than you will ever be able to understand.
Sure there is a lot of trash that goes to the events... but that's everywhere... and next time you are east coast nationals or something similar.... i think you will see just as much, if not more "trash".
Formula one bores me as they might as well pull the guy out of the car... it's almost a big computer driving itself around the track... there that's my opinion on it

I have to agree that a 358c.i. @ 9,300rpms is far superior then any SR, RB, Jay Zee Zee, etc I will ever hear. It's purely my opinion.

 

I know I am a little biased but I love the sound of a rotary with a straight through exhaust.

As for racing, I have to agree that anything involving cars, speed and actual turning is fun to watch.
JGTC- Awesome to watch and man are those idiots fucking nuts.
MARS, NASA, SCCA- cool to watch all different levels of racing
NASCAR- not my cup of tea but I will watch
F1, INDY, CART- I love these and man is it cool to hear those cars in person
Drifting- interesting to watch, americans have a long way to go.
Drag Racing- gas, shift, gas...interesting if I have a couple beers in me.

Well have you ever herd an RB in person... it's quite possibly the nicest sound out of a 3": exhaust i've ever herd...

9,300rpm with open exhaust out of that motor = death to ear drums

Boxer motor...listen to Paul's car. That thing sounds badass. It's got that repeating, deep banging sound at idle, and it backfires and explodes like crazy when he's driving fast. Hotness.
