im just going after the 12 cm^2 housing. i think the hy35 has a smaller housing.....havent picked it up yet, i just went to shaws american diesel, hes sourcing one for me. Im SLIGHTLY nervous its not going to do what i want, but from what ive read, its got what im looking for. the claim is that its got very similar characteristics to a gt30r, with maybe a SLIGHTLY slower spool time. honeslty, after ridding in a gt2871 powered car, im thinking that the lag time might not be all that much diffrent. im sure ill get hate for doing it, but i want to give it a try. i DO have a det, so ill be able to run high boost levels, which should make for an exciting ride. hopefully ill get the turbo tomorrow, im trying to get it all together this weekend.

How much power are you trying to make? The hx35 is pretty damn big and a 57 or 60 trim t3to4e can make a decent amount of power unless you are shooting for the 450+ whp range. If you want spool i'm pretty sure the gt30r would be a better choice...although much more expensive.

well, im shooting for 425 right now, stock block. If it all holds together, ill just say to hell with it and make that 475. i do have a 60-1, but i wanted to try this out just becasue its available to me for nothing. aparantly the fact that i want to play with a free turbo bothers some people. i keep hearing about this on the dsm forums, and althoguh i KNOW a gt30 would be what people would suggest.....free vs. 1500.......well, you get the idea.

yea if you want 425 i dont think you will have a problem with the turbo you have now. the 60-1 will do well too and should get you to the 475. I just think the hx35 may bee laggy if you are looking for a somewhat quick spooling turbo. if lag is not a big issue then the hx35 will do the trick
