Z31 300ZX Project
Wow, that's actually pretty damn impressive. I do know that Nissan damn near dominated any realistic form of motorsports from the late 80s through the early 90s. Most of the reason they got held back then was because of rule changes.
Yeah, I thought so too. I don't know how familiar you are with the Shiro Special. They only made 1000 of them, but the drivetrain was the same as any other 88-89 Turbo 300ZX. It did have a viscous LSD rather than a clutch operated one though. Other than a couple of aero pieces, stiffer springs and sway bars, and a set of Recaro seats, it was mechanically the same as any other Z.
Yeah, they made the Shiro and they made a 50th anniversary model. I did a report back in high school on Nissan in general and most of it ended up being about the Z car and the Skyline, lol
They can, actually. They had that stupid deal going on in Japan at the time where all of the sports cars were speed limited from the factory. In the article that you posted they stated that they had a model in which that feature had been disabled. Remember when all the cars claimed like 276hp from the factory though most made MUCH more?
