Narrowed rear axle housing. Don't need IRS. Make it happen.

Re: N00b: Stalker from AR
Fabrik8, thanx for stopping by.
the steelies are kinda my little nod to NASCAR. Even though I'm no fan (they lost me when the cars lost their "stock" shape), I appreciate the history of Stock Car racing. my car -as has been mentioned- has some kinda "moonshiner" vibe. As I'm sure many are aware, Stock Car racing began as a way for bootleggers to compete w/ their 'shine runners. Even though the steelies those cars ran look nothing like the wheels on my car you can still make the jump, in spite of the anachronism, right? It's a bit of a leap, I know.
a/b the stripes: they keep the wheels from just being a boring black wheel, to me anyway. Cragar offers another black steel wheel w/o the stripe, but I liked these.
Woudn't have to fab it if I could come up w/ a fox housing -they're a bit narrower than my sN95 rear. BUT, my desire to get lower doesn't override the love for the beefy look of sidewall spilling out of the wheelwells.
Plus that would only take care of the tires vs. fenders issue. Then I still have to square away the lack of clearance under the car. I am trying to sort that part out, though, so keep the faith.
FYI, Lightning McQueen (or whatever that character is from Cars) is rocking steelies because it's supposed to be a NASCAR car and they have to use steelies per the series rules. I'm not really feeling them on a street car, especially not with the stripes on them. Maybe without the stripes they'd look better...?
