Re: My AW11 Build...Round 2
Trying to decide which area to dive into first.
Situation 1.) Engine spins at just shy of 5000rpm to maintain 80mph in 5th gear...
Solution a.) Order 6spd LSD transmission conversion that will install taller 6th OD gear to spin 3950rpm in 6th at 80mph
Solution b.) Fuck it, fuel economy is irrelevant.
Situation 2.) Catalytic converter is clogged. Have HKS Sport exhaust but would like to retain flanges so I can still use the catalytic converter when I do an engine change.
Solution a.) Buy fresh flanges and have Magnaflow catalytic converter installed with fresh flanges onto stock downpipe.
Solution b.) Fuck it, chop flange off of HKS exhaust and have everything welded together as one piece.

Re: My AW11 Build...Round 2
sissies, my Type R turns 5k or better at 80mph on the highway, but it still gets about 33ish mpg at that speed. I feel surely a AW11 doesn't weigh more than an EF hatch.
But a 6 speed would be more of a cool factor, and you'd have to tighten body panels and adjust your headlights less. That's like a monthly thing for me.
