Finally moving again on the Subaru
After a long break, I'm finally moving on the Subaru again. After the 6-speed swap, the motor was begining to sound a bit soft. Did a compression check before turning the boost up and it failed. Leak down showed something up with the valves. Pulled it apart and sure enough, valves weren't seeling. No marks on anything, so were assuming they weren't check when originally assembled, and slowly beat themselves worse.
Not a big deal...a set of valves/some machine work and all is well:
Decided I didn't want to put the motor back together without sleeves, so after a bit of inner debate, I pulled the trigger and wound up with this:
Began motor reassembly a couple days ago and this is where I'm at:
L19s in
Cams in:
Hopefully semi-shaving and painting the engine bay this weekend, then continuing forward.

Re: Finally moving again on the Subaru
Haha its just a continuation of my previous build thread. The last one ended with the car at a safe 400whp tune while I got stuff together for the 6 speed swap (6speeds hold way more power). Once the 6 speed went in, I did a compression test, which it failed, so the car sat for a bit while I got my new business situated and waited on the machine shop. Bout time I started fuxin with it again.
