Re: More Panoz stuff... complete w/ speed holes...
Finished up the NACA duct and Traqmate GPS lap timer/data acquisition unit install tonight.
Walked around lowes until I found the piece of metal I was looking for in the lumber hardware section. Bent the bottom and drilled it to mount it. Used HD velcro to mount the display to the bracket and the processor unit to the tunnel. It's all set up for easy removal to download the data to laptop.
NACA ducts for some airflow in the cabin
Ready for Mazdadrivers this weekend.

Just leaving it as is to get airflow in the cabin to get the hot air out. For some reason the car got zero air flow in the cabin unlike a regular car w/ the windows down. It was 100% stagnant even at speed. The naca ducts and rear holes works well for creating a breeze. If I need more I'll run 3" hose from the passenger side one up over the rollbar and right onto my face.

when im at the track..drag racing
i always tahe two towels/rags and dip in the ice chest...
take one around your neck and one on your head...i sat in the staging lanes for nearly 20 minutes in 100 degree day and was cool ...surprsingly works very well...as long as your heads cool...the rest of the body feels ok
that works for me anyway...lol

If this doesn't give me adequate comfort for summer track events I'll be buying a cool shirt setup next.

Correct... you can buy their cooler setup or make one for cheap w/ a cooler and a bilge pump and just buy their shirt which is what I'll do. You can get fancy and get a helmet w/ a blower setup and pull air through the cooler to the helmet too.
