Well, I wanted to make a drag car that wasn't the normal foxbody/f-body, etc. If I want to change out the trans in the future, all I have to do is make a new transmission cross member, make a new driveshaft, and plug in a couple of wires. A full reverse manual valve body TH400 is at least more fun than a regular auto too.
