Not sure what were gonna do for a backup door pop. The car is mostly for show/sunday driving so not worried about it too much. That's not the stock location for the ignition, believe it was on the column stock.

Why dont you hoo up a mechanical system instead of a solenoid.. Miata door handels are super tiny if i remember correctly... put one on the very bottom of the door. but I wouldnt even shave the doors on that.

That's not a bad idea and I've thought about it; however, it's not very secure. so if the battery dies, gl stealing it. The front belly pan is going to be removable so if the battery dies, it will be accessible from there

laugh you lose? I think i know what you mean but not sure. I will admit the guy shooting the footage sounds redneck/hillbilly what have you, but the man is from Tennessee. As far as other plans my dad had wanted to at one point in the future do a 2.4 swap and turbo it, and prob add a getrag 5 speed and beefier clutch
