I drove through the "touchless" laser wash to get the pollen off the car. I'd never go through the ones with the spinning brushes/pads.

The CAI is just the first step with headers and exhaust coming next. Increase the intake capability and open up the exhaust capability + tune will yield decent results. My best guess would be that an intake only gives you ~10-15hp. Also, it sets me up in the future for a lower crank pulley (9.55) to up the boost (I will lose boost when I add headers/exhaust). Many people are running 650-700hp with just those changes. Any more power and you have to step up the injectors. I personally wouldn't go more than 650hp without thinking about forged pistons. Many guys do, but the margin for error is too close for me.

Thanks for the compliments.....I'm looking forward to modding again.

Flite- I'll be at the C&C in VaBeach........I'll toss you the keys.

What's the difference between this and the motor that's in the ZR1?

I will be able to show you real world numbers on an intake change very soon. Jay at JLT is using my car to show gains with his new CAI for Whipple 5.0's.

Same 6.2 liter block....the ZR1 uses the 2.3L Eaton supercharger. The CTS-V uses the 1.9L Eaton.

Yes.......all $3400 worth. I like them very much but think the price is a bit ludicrous. I got every option with the exception of the engine block heater.

im assuming the zr1 has stronger internals? better fuel injectors too id assume, because if so, swap chargers and hurt a TON of feelings

There are kits to swap out superchargers....but they are pricey. The ZR1 is 638hp in stock form.....I can get 650hp for about $1200-1500 with just pulley swap/tune and bolt-ons. More bang for your buck.
