Yea...that doesn't make sense. Restriction is restriction. Getting rid of restrictions with a supercharger, mainly a PD blower usually results in very decent gains. The most boost, the more important it becomes. They want the straightest line possible from filter to throttlebody. Always.

With the stupid cars I work on you can pick up 20whp+ with going from a curvy, fenderwell intake on a 600whp Cobra to a straight, massive K&N jobby under the hood. Thats it. Aftermarket CAI vs. aftermarket WAI. WAI wins.

There will be HD video of this car on the dyno soon enough. Can't wait!

I figured the mechanical blower would make the air charge pretty much set. I know there will be some gains, I just didn't think it would be as big a gain as something like a n/a LSx or something similar.

I obviously don't know what the fuck I'm talking about... I work on avionics. You do this for a living.... carry on

:edit: 200whp+ from an intake? That's impressive

There there...don't be so hard on yourself cupcake. Just telling you what my experiences have shown me. Lots of people believe superchargers will suck air no matter what, but PD blowers are pretty effected by their air leading in. Actually to the point that it effects the tune, so hey Rich...don't go flogging it!

Haha, obviously if you hook a drinking straw up to it, it's going to cause some issues. Like I said, my inexperienced assumption was that this intake wouldn't have a big benefit over the stock one. I'm clearly wrong though.

I'm still learning all this red blooded 'merican iron shit. I'm used to intakes that cost a fortune and do nothing.

hold on what ? Rich what the fuck are you doing at a carwash ? if your touching this cadillac with one of those goddamn foamy fucking brushes that every redneck fuck uses to scrub the mud out of their wheel wells, I may have to lay the smackdown on you. Using the super duper vaccum cleaners at the car wash is about the only acceptable reason to be at one of those places with a car you care about.
